Official Rules (“Official Rules”)


NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.  VOID WHERE PROHIBITED.


By entering into this Sweepstakes, you accept the terms and conditions as set forth in these Official Rules. You confirm that you are at least 18 years old and have reached the age of majority in your jurisdiction of residence at the time of opt-in (19 in Alabama and Nebraska; 21 in Mississippi). By entering the sweepstakes, you agree to receive newsletters and special offers from Code of the West Coffee, LLC and Free Rein, LLC(collectively, the “Associated Companies”). The Associated Companies have provided a Prize (as defined herein) to the Sweepstakes, but only Code of the West Coffee, LLC is sponsoring the Sweepstakes and is responsible for operating the Sweepstakes. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING. The Sweepstakes is subject to all federal, state, municipal, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. (New Jersey Notice: This Sweepstakes is not void in New Jersey).  The winner will be responsible for all federal, state, and local taxes associated with acceptance, participation, and use of the Prize.


Eligibility: Free Rein - ‘Serving Those Who Serve’ (the “Sweepstakes”) is open to all eligible individuals who (1) are at least eighteen (18) years of age and have reached the age of majority in their jurisdiction of residence at the time of opt-in, (19 in Alabama and Nebraska; 21 in Mississippi) and (2) are a resident of the United States of America or the District of Columbia (excluding residents of Alaska, Hawaii, Rhode Island, overseas military installations, Puerto Rico, and other U.S. Territories) and (3) have a valid email address. Employees, independent contractors, interns, officers, directors, and agents of Sponsor and the Associated Companies and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.  The term “immediate family members,” includes spouses, domestic partners, grandparents, siblings, children and step-children, grandchildren, and any other persons with whom the disqualified party is domiciled, irrespective of relation thereto.  Sponsor reserves the right to verify eligibility of the winner.

In addition to general eligibility standards above, all persons nominated by an entrant (each a “Nominee”) must currently be one of the following:

  • Active Military
  • Veteran
  • First Responder
  • Medical Professional
  • Teacher


Sponsor: The Sweepstakes is sponsored by Code of the West Coffee, LLC (“Sponsor”) at 901 S Oakes St, San Angelo, Texas, 76903.


Agreement to Official Rules: By entering the Sweepstakes, you indicate your full and unconditional agreement to, and acceptance of, (a) these Official Rules and (b) Sponsor’s decisions, which are final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Winning the Prize is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.


Entry Period: The Sweepstakes begins at 12:00am EST on January 13, 2025 (“Entry Period”). Entries submitted before or after the Entry Period will not be eligible. Sponsor’s computer is the official timekeeping device for the Sweepstakes. The Sweepstakes will end on February 28, 2025 at 11:59pm PST.


How to Enter: At the beginning of the Entry Period, you may enter the Sweepstakes by visiting the sweepstakes site (freereincoffee.com/pages/free-rein-sweepstakes-walmart-community)

(the “Sweepstakes Site”) and completing the Sweepstakes entry form. Sponsor’s receipt of your accurate and complete Sweepstakes entry form will constitute one (1) entry into the Sweepstakes (“Entry”).  Incomplete or inaccurate Entries are void. You may submit multiple Entries to nominate multiple Nominees, however, each Entry must be unique and you may only nominate a Nominee one time. Any attempt by any you to obtain more than the stated number of Entries by using multiple/different email addresses, identities, registrations and logins, or any other methods to nominate the same Nominee more than once will void such Entries and you will be disqualified from participation in this Sweepstakes.  The use of an agency or any automated system to enter is strictly prohibited and Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries received through such methods, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. All entries must comply with these Official Rules.


All nominations of a Nominee submitted with an Entry must be unique and must comply with the following entry requirements (“Entry Requirements”):


• Submissions must be in English.

  • Each Nominee must be either a veteran or active military, first responder, medical professional, or  teacher.

• Entries must not contain information that is known by you to be false, inaccurate or misleading.

• Any Entry deemed inappropriate or unsuitable, in Sponsor’s sole discretion, will be disqualified.

  • Entries must not contain material that infringes upon an third party’s intellectual or proprietary rights.
  • Entries must not be indecent, profane, obscene, hateful, tortious, defamatory, slanderous, libelous, discriminatory, illegal (or referencing illegal acts), or otherwise inappropriate, in Sponsor’s sole discretion.

• All Entries must be in keeping with the Associated Companies’ images and the goodwill of their respective brands, as determined by Sponsor, in its sole discretion. Any Entry found to be contradictory or harmful to the Associated Companies’ brands will be disqualified from the Sweepstakes.

  • Entries must not reference any other brands or third-party trademarks.
  • You are submitting your Entry with the understanding that Sponsor is conditioning the Entry being selected as a Prize winner on the timely provision to Sponsor of your and your Nominee’s signed Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release.


By entering, you grant to the Associated Companies a worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, non-exclusive right and license to copy, distribute, and display each submitted Entry, in any media, and with right to use, copy, modify, edit, and create derivative works therefrom, and agree to execute documents confirming such right and license at Sponsor’s reasonable request. By entering, you understand that your Entry may be posted online for public viewing.


Without limiting the foregoing, Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any Entry that it believes contains obscene, offensive, or inappropriate content that does not comply with these Official Rules or that is not consistent with the spirit or theme of the Sweepstakes. No information regarding Entries, other than as otherwise set forth in these Official Rules will be disclosed.


By entering the Sweepstakes in accordance with the entry process described above, you are registering to receive email communication from the Associated Companies and you agree that your registration and any other information collected in connection with the Sweepstakes may be used by the Associated Companies in accordance with the privacy policy found here: https://freereincoffee.com/policies/privacy-policy.  All Entries become the property of Sponsor, and Sponsor is under no obligation to acknowledge, confirm, or return Entries.  Proof of submission does not constitute proof of Entry.


Drawing: After the Entry Period, on or about March 3, 2025, Sponsor will select ten (10) potential winners in a random drawing of all entries received. The odds of being selected depend on the number of entries received.


Notification and Requirements of Potential Winners: Sponsor will attempt to notify the first ten potential winners within one (1) day of the drawing via the email address provided in the Entry. If any of the first potential winners do not respond by 11:59 PM PST on the  third (3rd) calendar day after the notice is sent, that first potential winner forfeits its selection.  Sponsor will then select an alternate potential winner at random from all remaining entries received. The alternate potential winner will have the same allotted time to respond as the first potential winner.  If no response is received from the second potential winner by the end of the third (3rd) day after notice is sent, Sponsor will select one final potential winner (the first potential winner and two (2) alternate potential winners are the maximum number).  No additional potential winners will be contacted. 

Except where prohibited, a potential winner will be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release before being declared the winner. If a potential winner fails to sign and return these documents by 11:59 PM PST on the third (3rd) calendar day after receipt of notice of winning, this potential winner forfeits its prize and an alternate winner will be selected as detailed in above. 

In addition, each winning Nominee must each execute and return via email an Affidavit of Eligibility and Liability and Publicity Release stating that they are eligible and willing to participate and receive a Prize in this Sweepstakes.


All required forms must be returned fully executed within dates specified by Sponsor. Failure to return all required forms within dates specified by Sponsor may result in the potential winner and their Nominee being disqualified at Sponsor’s discretion.


ALL POTENTIAL WINNERS ARE SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY SPONSOR AND SPONSOR’S DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THIS SWEEPSTAKES.

Prize(s): ten (10) prizes will be awarded and ten (10) winners will be chosen.


Description of Prizes: Each Prize has a total value of $645.


If you are a winner, you, as the entrant and nominator, will win a six (6) months’ supply of coffee* provided by Free Rein Coffee Company, and your Nominee will win:

  • A one (1) year’s supply of coffee provided by Free Rein Coffee Company**; and
  • A $250 Walmart gift card

*A six-month supply of coffee is twelve (12) 12oz bags of coffee beans or eighteen (18) 12-count boxes of coffee pods.

**A Year’s worth of coffee is twenty-four (24) 12oz bags of coffee beans or thirty-six (36) 12-count boxes of coffee pods. 


The Prize consists of only those items specifically listed. In no event will more than ten (10) Prizes be awarded.


Each Prize is non-transferable and neither you, nor the winning Nominee may redeem the Prize for cash or other substitutions.


In the event that Sponsor is unable to provide the Prize as detailed herein for any reason, Sponsor may elect to provide winners with the approximate value of such Prize in cash or award an alternate prize of comparable or greater value. 


The Prize is awarded “AS IS” and without warranty of any kind, express or implied.



General Conditions: In the event that the operation, security, or administration of the Sweepstakes is impaired in any way for any reason, including, but not limited to fraud, virus, or other technical problem, Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, either: (a) suspend the Sweepstakes to address the impairment and then resume the Sweepstakes in a manner that best conforms to the spirit of these Official Rules; or (b) award the prize(s) at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment. Sponsor reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Sweepstakes or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to undermine the legitimate operation of the Sweepstakes may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Failure by Sponsor to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. Proof of sending any communication to Sponsor by mail shall not be deemed proof of receipt of that communication by Sponsor. In the event of a dispute as to any online entry, the authorized account holder of the email address used to enter will be deemed to be the entrant. The “authorized account holder” is the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.


Release and Limitations of Liability: By participating in the Sweepstakes, you agree to, and hereby do release and hold harmless the Associated Companies, Walmart, Inc., and their respective parents, subsidiaries, affiliates, the prize providers, and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents (the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Sweepstakes; (b) technical errors related to computers, servers, providers, or telephone, or network lines; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Sweepstakes or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Sweepstakes or receipt or use of the Prize. You further agree that in any cause of action, the Released Parties’ liability will be limited to the cost of entering and participating in the Sweepstakes, and in no event shall the Released Parties be liable for attorney’s fees. You waive the right to claim any damages whatsoever, including, but not limited to, punitive, consequential, direct, or indirect damages.


Privacy and Use of Information Submitted; Publicity: Any information you submit as part of the Sweepstakes will be used for purposes of this Sweepstakes and treated in accordance with Sponsor’s Privacy Policy as otherwise set forth in these Official Rules. Except where prohibited, participation in the Sweepstakes constitutes an entrant’s consent to the Associated Companies’ use of his/her name, likeness, voice, opinions, biographical information, and state of residence for promotional purposes in any media without further payment or consideration.


Use of Entrant Information: By entering the Sweepstakes, you acknowledge and agree that Sponsor and the Associated Companies will use your information, including, without limitation, your email address, phone number, mailing address, or any other contact information provided for general solicitation, marketing, or other business or promotional activities in connection with the services and products provided by Sponsor or the Associated Companies. You may at any time revoke the use of such information by providing written notice to Sponsor and each other Associated Company using the following address support@freereincoffee.com or by responding to a marketing email using the unsubscribe link provided in the email. Please note that your opt-out preference will apply to marketing communication and may not apply to transactional communication including those associated with your Entry.


Disputes: Except where prohibited, you agree that any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Sweepstakes or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in San Angelo, Texas. You hereby waive any right to a trial by jury. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, your rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of Sponsor in connection with the Sweepstakes, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of Texas, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of Texas or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than Texas.


Third Party Platforms: If this Sweepstakes is hosted, administered, or operated on a third party platform, including without limitation a social media platform (e.g. Facebook or Twitter) (“Third Party Platform”), then by participating in this Sweepstakes, entrants hereby release and agree to comply with all rules and policies set forth by such Third Party Platform and to hold harmless such Third Party Platform from any and all liability, loss or damages arising from or in connection with the awarding, receipt, and/or use or misuse of prizes or participation in any prize related activities. Unless otherwise stated to the contrary in these Official Rules, this Sweepstakes is not sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, any Third Party Platform.


Results: To request a winners list, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Code of the West Coffee, LLC at 901 S Oakes St, San Angelo, Texas, 76903. Requests must be received within four (4) weeks of the end of the Entry Period.
